Automobile

We offer both claim adjusting and appraisal services through our auto claims department. Our appraisal unit, JADA, is well-equipped to handle all aspects of physical damage appraising throughout the Hawaiian Island chain for automobiles, motorcycles, heavy equipment, trucks, and boats. Our licensed ICAR appraisers offer fast response times, contacting the owner within 24 hours of the assignment date and completing itemized appraisals within 48-72 hours from the inspection date.

Casualty

The JMCO casualty adjusters have extensive experience managing claims related to general liability, marine, professional liability, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and product liability. Adjusters are trained in the use of the Williams XL (slip resistance meter) for slip-and-fall accidents.

Catastrophic Claims

We believe in a proactive approach to service our customers during unexpected and catastrophic situations. Our partnership with multiple CAT partners allows us to provide turnkey catastrophe claim administration and handling during the time of a catastrophic event.

Property

John Mullen & Company has the largest property staff in the State of Hawaii, with resident property adjusters on Maui (Makawao), the Big Island (Hilo & Kona), Kauai (Kapaa), and Oahu. We handle first- and third-party property losses for both personal and commercial property lines, including pre-risk assessment, construction, and business interruption. In addition to serving Hawaii, our team provides professional claims handling across the mainland in Alaska, California, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts. Our services also include Drone Services with licensed pilots and Matterport 3D scanning to provide precise, detailed property assessments.

Temporary Disability

Hawaii’s mandated Temporary Disability Insurance provides short-term disability coverage for individuals with non-work-related illnesses or injuries. JMCO represents a number of insurance carriers as their full-service TDI representative. Adjusters ensure prompt determination of coverage, eligibility, and benefit entitlement. Our investigation rules out duplication of benefit entitlement, such as workers’ compensation benefits. In the event TDI benefits are paid, we will ensure that the client’s subrogation rights are protected.

Workers' Comp

We provide services for workers’ compensation administration for insurance carriers, captives, self-insured entities, governmental agency accounts, and third-party administrators.


We also offer telephonic nurse case management to provide a more cost-effective approach to medical management for workers' compensation claims.
