Honolulu, April 1, 2011—At the 2011 Best Places to Work Awards banquet at the new Waikiki Edition Hotel, John Mullen & Company was honored by selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Hawaii in the medium size business category.(50 to 249 employees). This event was put on by Hawaii Business Magazine with sponsorship by the UHA. For the medium size business category, only 17 companies of over 75 applying in Hawaii received this award for 2011.
John Mullen & Company is honored by receiving the “2010 Community Service Award” from Hawaii Business Magazine
Honolulu, January 27, 2010—At the 2010 Hawaii Business Magazine SmallBiz Success Awards banquet at the Hawaii Prince Hotel, finalists in several categories were given awards for various achievements. This event was put on by Hawaii Business Magazine with sponsorship by the Bank of Hawaii and Oceanic Time Warner Cable.
The award categories were for Community Service, Exports, Family Business, Innovation, Lifetime Achievement, and for New Business. Over a 100 companies were nominated to the remarks of the managing editor and there were only 19 finalists. The judges for the Community Service category were Su Au Doyle, Executive Director of Aloha United Way and Lisa Maruyama, President and CEO of Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations.
John Mullen & Company was honored by being named the winner for the category of Community Service for 2010. Terry Mullen, President and CEO, accepted the award . Lt. Governor James “Duke” Aiona was on stage to congratulate the winners as was , Steven Petranik, Editor of Hawaii Business.
